Changemakers: The first SCTA PD Travel Trip

CHANGEMAKERS: The first SCTA PD Travel Trip was a success!! We spent 3 days of professional development in Winnipeg with 11 members!

After arriving on a 2AM flight we got a bit of sleep then jumped right in.

Day 1 was a full day at The Canadian Museum of Human Rights with workshops, tours, exploration , and The Witness Blanket exhibit. We followed it up with an evening ghost tour of downtown Winnipeg.

Day 2 started with a workshop at The National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation followed by an afternoon guided tour of the Winnipeg Art Gallery and their exhibit of Inuit and Métis art.

Day 3: was an early morning walking tour of Saint Boniface and The Forks followed by a tour of the Manitoba Museum.

Highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to explore Human Rights and Indigenous history in Canada.
